The Minister of Military Production witnesses the signing of Cooperation Protocol between Education and Research Institutions affiliated to the Ministry and Future University. Cairo, 22nd August, 2022.
The Minister of Military Production Eng. Mohamed Salah El-Deen witnesses the ceremony of Cooperation Protocol signing between some educational and research institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production and Future University. These institutions include the training sector, Science and Technology Center of Excellence, and the Egyptian Academy for Engineering and Advanced Technology. The protocol aims at promoting cooperation between all parties in the fields of education, postgraduate studies, research, training and community service, and environmental development. The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the ministry and was attended by Prof. Ebada Sarhan, FUE President.
Eng. Essam Abd Al-Muawwad Adly, Head of the Training Sector, Dr. Ihab Abu Bakr El-Seheili, Chairman of Science and Technology Center of Excellence, and Prof. Fawzi Ibrahim Abdel Ghani, Dean of the Egyptian Academy for Engineering and Advanced Technology, all signed for the Ministry of Military Production. Prof. Ebada Sarhan signed for FUE.
The Minister of Military Production pointed out that the activities of the protocol are based on cooperation in different fields including: investigating the possibility of faculty exchange, transferring technology, promoting ideas, student graduation projects, adopting innovative ideas and connecting them to industry and civil society, cooperating in postgraduate studies and in employing scientific experiences to carry out engineering consultations and national projects. These fields also include cooperation in the following: holding a job fair by organizing a one-day event for the graduates of the parties involved, exchanging research and educational expertise, implementing research for solving environmental problems, supplying equipment and installing laboratories when needed, holding seminars and workshops, as well as cooperation in MA and PhD joint supervision.
The parties have also agreed to collaborate in carrying out and exchanging scientific visits as well as providing training for FUE students at the institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production.
The Minister, "Mohamed Salah" explained that signing this protocol comes within the framework of the two sides' awareness regarding the importance of the vital role of youth training and development. Such awareness helps in preparing generations of distinguished graduates, which enhances the state's policy of youth empowerment. It also displays the enthusiasm of the ministry as well as the university for cooperating with various institutions to create a generation capable of linking science with industry through applying modern research ideas and turning them into reality.
Prof. Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt, indicated that the university was established in 2006, and it attempts to provide comprehensive and high-quality education that enables the university graduates to be future leaders. Prof. Ebada indicated that the university includes six fully-accredited faculties from the Supreme Council of Universities; which are: Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Industries, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, and Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. The university also allows its students to get bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees. Future University president expressed his happiness as the university is cooperating with several educational and research institutions that are affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production because they possess technological and technical capabilities, human and training cadres, as well as research centers, which will enhance such cooperation.
On the other hand, Mr. Mohamed Eid Bakr, the Minister of Military Production Media Advisor and his official spokesman, explained that the ministry is keen on developing the technical education system in Egypt, through its various educational institutions, which helps in linking education and scientific research to industry. The ministry is also keen on developing the manufacturing and production systems via its educational institutions in order to contribute to the country’s development.
Bakr pointed out that the protocol signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Mohamed Sherine Shehata, the Minister's office manager, Dr. Salah Jumblatt, Acting Vice President of the National Organization for Military Production, Eng. Mohamad Khaled Zaqzouk, the Minister’s Consultant for Governmental Sectors, Dr. Mohamed Tawfiq, the Minister’s Assistant for Financial and Administrative Policies, Eng. Essam Abdel Moawad Adly, Head of the Training Sector, Prof. Fawzy Ibrahim Abdel Ghani, Dean of the Egyptian Academy for Engineering and Advanced Technology ,Dr. Eng. Ihab Abu Bakr, Chairman of Science and Technology Center of Excellence, and Eng. Hisham Khattab Head of Public Relations and Ceremonies Sector.
