Today, as a continuation of the permanent efforts, exerted by Future University, President Dr. Ebada Sarhan signed two memorandums of understanding with Mr. Essam Shiha, President of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights and Mr. Alaa Shalaby, President of the Arab Organization for Human Rights entitled “Promoting and disseminating the Culture of Human Rights”.
This was under the auspices of Mr. Khaled Azzazi, Chairman of Board of Trustees, that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals, FUE is working on strengthening collaboration in creating more inclusive societies, deepening understanding of human rights profile, disseminating a culture of human rights with its holistic definition incorporating civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights as well as the right to development.
Forms of collaboration include conducting joint workshops, public lectures and conferences contributing to the development of human rights system on both national and regional levels, where raising awareness of human rights in accordance with international agreements and conventions as well as national laws in addition to capacity building are considered to be key pillars. Signed MOUs also aim at promoting equality, combating discrimination and preventing violations, sharing experiences in the field of protecting human rights, promoting participation and protecting civic space, building capacities of faculty members, university staff and students, modernizing their work mechanisms in line with international standards of human rights; in addition to strengthening the rule of law and accountability, building a culture of tolerance and respect to diversity within the framework of the Egyptian National Strategy for Human Rights 2021-2026 and activities of Year of Civil Society 2022.
The university has been building new bridges to promote quality education for their students in Egypt and internationally.
