The Minister of Higher Education Visits a Number of Examination Committees in Private Universities and Higher Institutes Mar, 03 2021 Back to News

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, visited Tuesday morning, a number of examination committees for the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021 at the Faculties of Pharmacy, Business Administration and Dentistry at Future University in Egypt. He was accompanied by Dr. Ebada Sarhan, University President, Dr. Adel Abdul Ghaffar, the Ministry of Higher Education Media Advisor, Vice-Presidents of the University, and Deans of Faculties.

The minister’s visit comes within the framework of following up on the regulations implemented inside the exam committees in order to guarantee the commitment of universities and students to all precautionary measures in facing the Corona virus pandemic. Such measures that aim to keep everyone safe were announced by the Supreme Council of Universities in its last session. The minister also asserted that he follows up daily on the exams in universities since their starting date.

Dr. Abdul Ghaffar emphasized the necessity of adhering to all precautionary measures, and providing the appropriate atmosphere for students inside the committees. He also highlighted the need to deal with any emergencies during the exams, and to take the appropriate decision regarding them.

During the tour, the minister praised the commitment to the instructions and regulations implemented by the university to control the examination process inside and outside the committees. He also pointed out that monitoring the precautionary measures is a must in order to avoid the spread of Corona virus, and that there should be an immediate punishment for violators.
The Minister made sure that thermometers are provided at the faculties' entrances to check on the employees’ as well as the students’ health condition prior to the exam committees, and that all are adhering to social distancing, wearing masks and sterilizing facilities on a daily basis.

Dr. Abdul Ghaffar asserted that the faculty members, the teaching assistants and the university employees should follow their announced schedules meticulously to ensure that the first semester exams as well as the educational process will be conducted smoothly. He also highlighted the importance of activating the role of crisis committees in universities.

On the other hand, the minister also checked the examination progress in the Higher Institute of Marketing, Trade and Information Systems, and New Cairo Higher Institute for Administrative Sciences and Computer in New Cairo, accompanied by Mr. Atta, head of the education sector in the ministry.

During the visit, the Minister emphasized the importance of the strict application of necessary precautionary measures during the first semester exams, and he assigned his Excellency the head of the education sector to follow up periodically to ensure that all precautionary measures are followed in the institutes in order to guarantee that the educational process is conducted smoothly for the protection of instructors, students and employees.
